Washington D.C.
D.C. is one of my all-time favorite cities. When the boyfriend had a conference there this winter I just had to tag along…which I’m sure he loves. This city has always been known for its diverse culture and long history. They have always had wonderful architecture, amazing people and delicious food. However, with recent foodie nation popping up into social media the food game there has grown even stronger. I had so many places on my list this trip and I wasn’t able to even achieve a tenth of what I wanted to. We did eat at some AMAZING restaurants, toured the Renwick Gallery, and even took a short tour with my dear friend Andrew of Fiat Luxe Tours. I can’t wait for my next adventure there to try out more places and tour around the gorgeous Capitol. Check out the photos for specifics and below are some favorite restaurants and exploring spots!

Exploring:
-
The Capitol Building: This building is gorgeous and I spend way too much time walking around it just taking it all in. One of the best things is when you can grab a sandwich from Potbelly and then sit on the steps of the Capitol and take in the view.
-
Georgetown: Walk around and explore the old houses, shops, restaurants, and take in the views at the river. Honestly one of my favorite parts was exploring this part of the city by myself.
-
National Mall: So many museums! You really do need to give yourself a lot of time for this or just try to pick your favorite museums to visit. Continue down the street on Constitution headed west for the White House, memorials, and the Lincoln Memorial. I also like to walk along the Potomac River and the Tidal Basin. Great views of the city!
